"Where the hell is Daemon!?" I screeched repeatedly in my freaked out mind. The cat like creature was moving closer. Swinging its razored hooks as it came. My shield arm was dripping and my legs were grazed.

I scrambled to my feet, still holding my glass splintered limb. I began to hobble away, trying my best to create a bigger distance between me and the killer kitty.

But again those dreaded pot holes had to be in my way. Though the one I tumbled over seemed more like a manhole. I had become stuck…in a pit…and the cat was now towering over me. I gasped, because well I have to say, it was more impressive than the Wolverine. And I was right below it.

It sprained me out by my gut, letting me go in mid-air. I sprawled into a bush, which for me was lucky. It was cushier than the potholed, cement roads.

"Why is it attacking me?" I moaned, through leaves and twigs. I was getting ticked off now. I spat out the bush bits, which managed to get in my mouth on my flight over.

The giant clawed cat stopped over towards me. I clambered towards it. I was fuming, and my arm felt like a spiked club. We stopped and faced each other, waiting for the next move. Like a western movie scene you could say.

It gave out a growl, getting some attention from nearby beasts. Anger was pumping through me, keeping my legs under me, instead of collapsing. The cat creature then swiped at me, unsheathing more of its already pretty huge claw. I went to my knees and scampered under its swipes. I eyed my bashing arm, and reluctantly removed a dagger sized glass shard. Then carving it into its furry, muscled legs.

It roared in pain, trying to then swipe me again. Swinging its paws of doom under then back up again, each time missing me by inches. I was getting sick of feeling like a mouse. The constant being swiped at rising my irritation.

I came from behind and loped onto its hunched back. Seizing its hair as a new form of rock wall, moving up its long arching back. I held the glass dagger in my teeth, praying it won't shatter in my dry mouth. I have enough of them in my arm.

I stood on all fours, at the back of its head. Carefully removing the dagger from my mouth. Quickly I dug it through and into its head. Causing a loud shriek to rupture through the once silent town.

The giant cat fell gradually to its knees, falling to the hard ground like a log. I almost had the urge to yell out timber! As it made its descent. It landed hard, but stayed motionless. Did I just kill the thing?!

I got to my feet, legs shaking, and bashing arm aching. I gazed down at the lifeless Kitty. A faint smile appeared on my face. I just killed…a monster cat. I was once again dumbfound, but proud of myself. It's not every day you can say; you just killed a giant killer cat all by yourself.

I snapped out of my moment of pride. Realising I wasn't the only one who had noticed my achievement.  Masses of glaring beast eyes, boring into my flushed skin.

"Wow, this is like school…" I muttered, with a disturbing chuckle.

Different screeches and growls sang out. I stumbled, realising they weren't happy with my job well done. I rotated and headed sprinting up the wide street. Dodging the holes that I caught in my sight as I went.

And I thought Randal's demon dog was bad. I had a whole mob of angered demons chasing me; all they were missing was their pitch forks and torches. I felt like Frankenstein. The thought of Jordan popped into my distressed brain. It was his nickname that he used to call me. I had ginormous leather shoes that I use to adore, wearing them everywhere I could when I was five. Jordan would be there teasing, laughing at me.

"Man I actually miss that douche…" I stuttered uncertainly in my head.

I staggered on the edge of a pit, losing precious getaway time. I instantly began to sprint again. Trying with every being in my body to ignore the sweltering pain, which was steaming up my frayed body.
An excruciating pricked at my shoulder, and before I even got to glance at it. I was launched through the air and into a stone wall.
My breath was knocked out of me; I gasped and winced when I tried to get to my feet. My shoulder was stuck; I was pinned to the wall by a spear.

"Who would give a demon a spear?!" I blubbered, tears welding up in my dark, scrunched eyes. I could feel my warm blood trickle down my arm. Now both arms were damaged in some way, and my glass filled arm was too weak to help free my shoulder.

The creatures were getting closer with each second that passed. Ultimately, I was doomed. I let my figure flop to the ground. There was nothing I could do. Daemon was going to have to go on without me. He probably wanted to.
I let out a broken sigh. Tears dripping from my dirt coated face. It was my end. Though I have to say, it isn't the greatest way to go.

Booms began to ring out, the sky got darker than it already was. The beast mob was closing in, but whips of foggy blackness smacked across them. Some of the demons were sent to the skies, while some skidded with a slight bounce across the street.

A figure, a dark cloaked figure made its way across the unmoving street. I shuttered, images of a rainy evening flooding through me. It's coming to get me…again!

It approached me, looking down at me. Then a familiar, yet calming sigh echoed under the cloak.

"Daemon…is that you?" I said softly, trying to make no movement. He pulled the hood back, revealing his smug smirk.

"Why do I even bother telling you things?" Daemon groused, leaning in closer to me.

"It wasn't my fault though! It was the killer cat who started it!" I moaned, from both pain and annoyance. He arched a dark eyebrow.

"Well you made this trip more interesting," he whispered into my pounding eardrum. Then ending it by yanking the spear from my once restrained shoulder. I howled out, while forming into a comforting ball, to cradle all the mind numbing agony.

"You…could…have warned…me!" I screeched, between moans.

"I could of, but I didn't," he said showing off his teeth again.

"Daemon…"

"Yes?"

"Sometimes I really dislike you…"

"Sometimes…dislike? Wow I guess I haven't been trying hard enough then."

"You want me to hate you?"

"Well everyone does…besides you."

"I'm special!"

"No shit Sherman," he goaded, his cheesy grin going extra cheesy.

"Shut up…who's Sherman?" I asked stupefied, raising my eyebrow at him. His smirk vanished.
Okay i'm not so sure this is the best work ive done...I finished at night and was pretty tired, so forgive me if i missed so terrible mistakes.
